Futsal is a game played between two teams of five players on a hard-court surface. The sport is likened to soccer and derives from the Portugese sport futebal de salao, which translates to "room football."

Futsal was developed in Brazil in the 1930s and 1940s and incorporates footwork skills, passing and dribbling, ball mastery, team communication, athletic movements, shooting, and most of all, fun!
